Treatment is aimed at the root of your condition as well as your main symptoms. This approach helps with resolving your problem and enhancing your feeling of well being. You may notice other niggling problems resolve as your main health complaint improves.
The initial treatment session will typically last a couple of hours and subsequent sessions about an hour.
A Chinese medical diagnosis will be carried out at the initial appointment this will include listening to your history, palpating your abdomen, looking at your tongue and taking your pulse.
Whilst acupuncture is usually painless sensations such as tingling, warmth or a slight aching may be felt, these are not unpleasant and are usually accompanied by deep relaxation.
David may incorporate techniques gua sha, cupping, and auricular acupuncture as part of your treatment.
The frequency and amount of treatment sessions required differs with each person and their needs. Acute problems usually respond more quickly than chronic conditions, with some changes being felt after the first session. Treatment requirements can be discussed at the initial consultation, where a treatment plan is created.
